Day Before the Trade Deadline

Tomorrow is the trade deadline. My thoughts are posted here. I know most of you probably won't agree with my thoughts but it is just what I think. One of the things that the trade deadline makes me think about is how glad I am that I am not Dale Tallon, I think it would be a very hard job especially on days like the trade deadline day and July 1st.  I will be back tomorrow with my thoughts on everything.

Thanks again for your contribution, Clare. The door's always open here at CLS.

You would really trade Havlat?? Especially after last night's performance?? No way. We need to get rid of Big Buff. He is pretty useless. We need a BIG defenseman. Someone to just go around and knock people on their ass.

There is no way I would trade Havlat. The photo of him is above my post but if you read it again, I said I wouldn't make any sort of trade. I didn't mention Havlat specifically but I definitely wouldn't trade Havlat.

Sorry for the Havlat-confusion. Put the photo up because I would trade me (at least if he isn't planning on re-signing) and also because I have a man crush on MH.

Keep in touch, Clare.

I would trade "him" not "me."

Just wondering if you had an opinion on Craig Adams that the Pens picked up on waivers...

Thanks. :)

Oh, okay. Sorry about that, I must have missread. Happy to hear that you wouldn't get rid of Havlat. I'm pretty sad that Wiz and Adams are gone. Not only because they are both delicious, but because I actually liked Wiz...especially when he was in a brawl. Adams was "eh", but, still didn't want to see him go. Pahlsson is out with mono, which, considering I just got over it, I dont think he'll be back for at least a month...it's a hard sickness to recover from. Who's gonna play instead? When does Sharp come back?

To anyone that left a comment that I haven't yet responded to, I am very sorry, I will work on some of them tomorrow (Friday) morning and they will be up by tomorrow (Friday) evening at the latest. Anyone who follows me on Twitter knows that I was overwhelmed at 6:50 this morning, and it only got worse through the day. Trust me I would much rather write about the Hawks all day. Just know that I haven't forgotten about you and I have my opinions on your questions (and yes they may come out in novel form.)

No problem, I completely understand your reasoning behind the photo and trading Havlat, I just didn't necessarily agree (about trading Havlat.) I just wanted to clear up any confusion about the photo.

That was my initial reaction and I am still not really sure how I feel about the trade.

I like Craig Adams but I have to admit I was surprised when I heard the Penguins had claimed him off waivers. He is a 4th line guy who never really had a role on this Hawks team because the role he is used to filling was already taken care of by guys like Eager and Burish etc.. I don't consider him a pest, more a gritty forward. I don't know how much of a role he will play on the Penguins considering the guys that are already on the Penguins but you never know he could fill a void somewhere along the way. Hope this helps (and makes sense!)

That's ok, I just wanted to clear that up.

but because I actually liked Wiz...

I am going to miss Wiz, it is actually the topic of my next post. Adams never had as much of a presence here so I am not as attached to him.

Sorry to hear you were sick. I hope you are feeling better! Since we didn't lose forward we should be fine with the group we have until Pahlsson comes back. I believe Sharpie will be back soon. I would think so since he was put on IR over 2 weeks ago and he was only supposed to miss 2-3 weeks. I hope he will be back for the the March 30th game against the Canucks, because I (hopefully) will be there and would love to have him in the lineup.
