The Blackhawks came back twice from a two goal deficit in last night's game to lose to the Penguins 5-4 in overtime. When the Tazer got his 2.5 goal, since it didn't really count but everyone thought it did I will call it his 2.5 goal rather than the disallowed goal, called back did they collect the construction helmets and re-hand them out to random people in case he scored again or did a lot of people not throw their hats on the ice because when he got his actual hat trick there were a lot more hats on the ice than I would have expected.
Everyone had to be happy for Toews who in the past couple games has been on an extreme scoring streak and it was nice to see him get the hat trick especially at home in front of what I am sure was a happy United Center crowd.
Kane and Toews also surprised some youth hockey players today when they showed up to practice with them. More pictures are at the Hawks website. We are treated to pictures of Kaner's haircut and Tazer is smiling.

I can't imagine that at least a couple of people didn't get hit with a construction helmet. The commentators joked that the people in the first rows should hold onto theirs so they would be protected if a hat hit them.

Apparently one of the ice girls put one of the helmets on, to protect herself when she was cleaning up the ice.
What purpose do ice girls serve?

Apparently so, in Buffalo we thankfully don't have to deal with them. Someone here got the memo that we are there to see the game and not the TV timeout entertainment. Men in tracksuits shovel the snow here and I haven't heard any complaints.

He needed it cut but I think sometimes he goes overboard and cuts it way too short.
I was there, it was awesome...both times. Even though it was a loss, it was still probably the best game I've been to in a loooong time!
