Finally the NHL and the Blackhawks have released ticket info for the Winter Classic. If you are a Blackhawks season ticket holder I am assuming that you have gotten a letter or something and that you know what is going on. I don't know, hopefully you do, I have too much else to worry about.
If you are not a Hawks season ticket holder and would like tickets here is what you should do:
Go to the Blackhawks website between 11 am CT on Wednesday and before 11pm on Friday to register for the random drawing. Then the Hawks will perform a random drawing to see who will have the opportunity to buy tickets.
This is a very different style from what was done last year and I will be very interested to see how it works for the NHL. I have a feeling that this will be a better system.

this is actually how they're doing tickets for the 2010 Olympics. in someways it's really cool, and in some ways i think it sort of sucks for the people who would have tied up the lines (or bandwidth) to get tickets.

I didn't know that. I think it will be very interesting to see how it works out here as opposed to a much larger event such as the Olympics.
